Based in Pitlochry and as with any trip, a rece is a must to any location and this was without exception. It's a relatively straight forward route from the A9 to Rannoch Moor Railway Station - a place I wanted to return to after visiting it by train on the way back from hiking the West Highland Way. I was also hoping for cold 'snowy' conditions on this day - the former I had, the latter was minimal.
The light was fading fairly quickly and was due to the low cloud. I noticed the rocks surrounded by ice and knew there was an image there. Composition was relatively straight forward although I would have liked a little more of an angle. The 'blue light' condition enhance the feeling of coldness and adds another element to the image.
